The Ecotourism & Sustainable Research Center fulfills its Research function by identifying and addressing ecotourism and adventure travel related research needs. The center is responsible to conduct research on ecotourism and adventure travel issues that can last decades and span huge geographical areas.Because environmental problems involve complex relationships, an interdisciplinary approach to addressing them is essential. Wine Tourism Research Center

Wine tourism refers to the tourists, whose mind is or includes the consumption of, wine tasting and buying wine. Wine tourism can consist of visits to vineyards and restaurants known to offer unique wines, wineries, as well as organized tours of wine festivals and other special events.
Wine tourism is a concept and a product that applies the know-how of significant growth. Wine tourism period covers two parts, each of which are important for the environment, local finance and lifestyle, and which have long been intertwined.

Defining Tourism Opportunities

The Hospitality & Tourism Research Center (HTRC) at the Winchester City University is a collaborative effort of the Division of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM). Principally known for its economic analysis and forecasts, the Research Center has also conducted research studies such as visitor profiles, forecast of tourism indicators, customer satisfaction surveys and analysis of casino gambling impacts. Each faculty member has broad experience in the tourism and hospitality industry and has extensive academic preparation.
The function of the Hospitality Research Center is to provide a variety of research services to hospitality, travel and tourism organizations.

Center for Sustainable Tourism

Wine Tourism is described as vineyards travel trips with purpose of wine tasting, consumption and wine purchase. However, Wine Tourism provides excellent opportunity to learn about new culture, heritage, customs as well the entire process of wine making.

Tourists showing great enthusiasm in wine or those interested in wine business and knowledge may book through our tour departments for a visit to our research center wineries. You will be able to know more about the wine making process.
Our research center wineries offer wine tours to give in depth information on the wine making process. Sample wine is also offered for tasting accompnaied by delicious international dishes in our jungle restaurant and food outlets.
