Message from the Dean
Welcome to the Winchester City University-Global Campus School of Innovation & Crisis Management. In today´s world, business is global and your credentials must be too. Our programs are designed to equip today’s emerging leaders with the knowledge, research insights and personal effectiveness skills to make an impact on business organizations by adeptly managing themselves, their teams, and their organization’s functionality. Our mission is to provide thought leadership in the field of strategy in order to inform our peers, students, and, ultimately, the practitioners worldwide who must deal with the realities of a complex and fast-changing world. We focus broadly on how new and established firms generate and sustain performance differentials over their competitors. We are interested in exploring not just the appropriate strategy for conditions but how firms execute on that strategy and the practices that most effectively enable implementation. We place particular emphasis on the study of innovation in different kinds of organizations and the role of technological change in creating new industries and reshaping existing ones. We believe that rigorous, first-class research is key to the understanding of modern strategy, innovation phenomena and economic crisis. Because of that, we strive to attract the best and strongest faculty in our domain and create a vibrant intellectual environment where they can flourish. We believe that the complex, fast-changing strategy issues of today require an interdisciplinary approach, and so our faculty expertise range from organizational theory to economics and politics. We believe in collegiality and collaboration, and are proud of being part of an eclectic and highly motivated group of researchers and instructors. We are committed to excellence inside the classroom, in our research, and in our professional activities. Our business program specialization opportunities offer non-traditional orientated learners the opportunity to actively engage in their chosen discipline through career-relevant applications. Our Faculty is specially trained to teach our students and learners within an environment enriching academic excellence with real-world experience. Our students learn the latest strategic management practices and the research programs most relevant in today’s global business world. Students reason more critically about how subject matter applies to real-world situations, as responsible leaders and ambassadors of their organizations and countries. Our graduates are prepared to make a difference by adding solutions and solving problems for their professions and their communities - they are prepared to meet the challenges in this ever-changing world which results into economic crisis and other changes which affect the economy considerably. We present a comprehensive offering of bachelor, masters and doctorate level programs recognized within the global business communities as synonymous with quality, rigor, and relevance. Our promise is to help our learners, graduates and future business leaders and professionals to challenge themselves, and create value for their organizations and society.
